Johann Brun presents two complete
collections per year; each consisting of a minimum of forty garments.
Details of the S/S and A/W collections are available. The collections
are sold both on a forward and short order basis with a huge amount
of repeat business... and to enable us to react to feedback in
season with new colours or trim detailing according to trend.
Johann Brun established himself in the spring of
1984, when he discovered and promoted John Galliano (Christian
Diors head designer) helping to elevate him to the status of International
designer. The following years he worked with a number of recognised
designers most notably Vivienne Westwood with
whom he produced the label "Worlds End Classics"; it was
Westwood who encouraged him to start his own line and shortly afterwards(89)
he started the SITE brand with Andrew Coombs.
It was following the success of this brand with press and clients
, that he decided to develop his own signature look and label.
The Johann Brun look is a unique mix of elements
resulting in both distinctive and practical pieces. The elements are: knitwear,
jersey, sportswear and fake fur... hence the knits with a lingerie feel that
function for all occasions. Fake fur that combines old glamour with modern international
street and jersey seperates with a combined 40s and sportwear feel. The overall appeal is of something familiar(in
a sense classic) and an old favourite. Fabric feel and colour is
a hugely important part of our look and we generally have our own
fabrics knitted and dyed. |
